Cornucopia of dresses, beer and Montreal Lingo

The day started with a fine Misto at Starbucks interrupted by creative ingenious teacher we met that teacges at West Mount High School. Ah....how interesting that politics crosses all provinces even La Belle Province when we found out that private schools here are funded 60%, stealing precious teachers from the public board. A delightful man was speaking clear through the French bureaucracy tantalizing our ears with common folk lore's. Onto the metro relieving our feet of about 10 km. walk to St. Denis Street. A magical dress ware fare of avant-garde chic dresses starting at the $300.00 range and moving up, and what 70% off can buy you at the next shop. "Madame c'est tres, tres, joili c'est robe." Yes, I reply and you say this too all the women that enter your shop...."Madame, mes non, seulement le dame qui avez le largent.  Only women I think have money. How chic, and true to Montreal. At 26 degree, about 60 % humidity, you ware quickly of any shopping. Hal was onto his afternoon Starbuck fix of Frappuccino by the time I was done my search.

Then onto Trois Petite Couchon, three little pigs for some mussels which are a staple in Montreal with French fries, cool wine and a lovely terrace to enjoy an afternoon. Conversations flows like fine wine in restaurants, there are no reservation or hesitation with food. The couple sitting next you will surely ask about your dress, accent or what you are eating and before you have completed your 2nd bottle of wine you are engrossed with their lives.

Back at Carol's I indulged in some Salad Nociose for dinner, as the temperature is reaching 28 degrees with humidity 70% the air hangs wet on your arms and a stickiness that never leaves. Light French wine with banquette, olives, cheese, salad, avocado, yellow tomatoes and a Vietnamese dressing.

Our last night before we head back to our tent will be done properly eating in the garden amongst neighbors that inevitably will come over with dessert, chocolate and great conversations. With such a diverse culture here, there is never a loss of topics to choose from.
